ALTERNATIVE ROCK:

GEORGE RAIN

A bit raw-sounding, but overall very easygoing with some depth, good lyrics, and catchy songs. His music page references his music as "electric music combined with acoustic sounds and tones," and I would say that's pretty spot-on. My personal favourites are "Goodbye" and "The Way That You Left Me." Link will open in a new window and directs to a Myspace page.

JAZZ/SOUL:

ALEX SERRA

Straight-out, self-played, acoustic guitar and very soulful, emotion-filled vocals. Most of these are cover songs, and my personal favourite is Etta James - At Last. Link will open in a new window and directs to a Youtube page.

ELECTRONICA/METAL:

SKUMLOVE

This band has changed members a bit through the years, and somehow wound up with two great guys Skumlove and "DB" in it currently. Both of these guys have a good grasp of what sounds good and what doesn't, and I'm sure anyone they work with do as well. Skumlove has toured with Static-X and Danzig among many others, and my personal favourites are "I Am Your God", "My Machine", and "New Perversion." Link will open in a new window and directs to the official Skumlove page.

HIP HOP:

PRINTZ OF PEEPZ

P.O.P. reminds me a bit of a combination of Will Smith and Mike/Fort Minor as far as style and preference goes. He chooses not to curse in his music, so no warnings necessary. ^.^ My personal favourites are "Strugglin'" and "Nice Guys Finish..." His music sounds slightly old school with a bit of new twists to it, and I like the style and lyrics overall. Link will open in a new window and directs to a Reverb Nation page.
